The Sickest Piece Of Literature

T he following Email was sent to Blow the Trumpet by a gentleman who took issue with a book we posted titled It Came Without Warning Chapter 9 of this work explores why God would allow such a horrible catastrophe as 9-11 to take place. We believe it presents a compelling argument connecting America’s rejecting of God’s law and God’s rejection of America on that day. The author of the letter thought very differently. Below are his comments and our response.

This text from your website is the sickest piece of literature I have ever encountered!

“I know that I'll hear from them for this, but throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way - all of them who have tried to secularize America - I point the finger in their face and say, "You helped this happen!" (Jerry Fallwell, 9/17/2001)"

Do you mean to tell me that America's foreign policies and the Bush family in bed with the Saudis and bin Laden family are not DIRECTLY CONDUCTIVE UNLAWFULL ACTS RESPONSABLE FOR TERRORISTS FLOURISHING IN THE WORLD TODAY?

Give me a break!! The American society has supported EVERY criminal state and country in the world - there are literally thousands of examples of covert American operations that have killed millions of innocent people in the name of your GOD and country.

Plainly - as a Christian you should be ashamed of yourself and even be held responsible for the attacks on the World Trade Center just for starters!

Our response:

Dear Friend,

It is clear from your Email that you found some of the information on our website objectionable. The purpose of our response is to respectfully address some of your concerns. First, the quote you cited as being the "sickest piece of literature" you have ever seen is actually from Dr. Jerry Fallwell, not from us. His words were cited in a book titled It Came Without Warning which examines 9-11 in light of several Biblical prophecies concerning the last days. The main theme of the book centers around the premise that evil exists because man rejects the only source of morality and virtue. That source is the God of the Bible. We recognize that many people don't believe in that God. However, such skepticism will not make any difference eventually. The Bible reveals that the day is coming when all people will know the true God.

Your comments about terrorism’s connection with President Bush seem to us to be over the top. Long before the President took the oath of office in January of 2001, America and Americans had been on the wrong end of terrorist attacks. Whether it was the attack on the USS Cole, the bombing of a barracks in Beruit, the first attack on the World Trade Center in New York over ten ears ago, or the Iran hostage crisis in 1979, Americans have been targeted by Islamic extremists for decades.

We realize that all sides in a world filled with international conflicts can point an accusing finger at someone else as the cause. However, we are equally as confident that there are spiritual forces at work in this world that are committed to destroying a great plan designed to bring peace to all mankind. That peace will be delivered by a Great God King. And as difficult as this might be to believe, the day is coming when all mankind will walk as brothers.

Respectfully,

Blow the Trumpet
