David C.Pack vs A Sabbath Test

Timeline of Events

The Email that appears below was sent by Blow the Trumpet advising the Restored Church of God that it has posted three new pages on its site relating to the issue of dining out on the Sabbath. This Email exhorts Mr. Pack to read the articles and contends they are unrefutable.

"Three Arguments"

July 21, 2005

Dear Mr. Pack,

Our purpose for writing is to advise you that Blow the Trumpet has posted three new articles to its website relating to the issue of dining out on the Sabbath. The first article, Restaurants in the Millennium, rebuts the convoluted argument that claims that because food will be served from the temple in the millennium on the Sabbath, God’s people today may now eat out at restaurants on that day. Mr. Pack, if we have misrepresented your position in the slightest we are prepared to amend our essay. If not, then you would be well advised to consider what you are claiming in your article.

Our second essay, “A Slave in Egypt,” was written by Dennis Fischer. It examines why God gave the Sabbath command in the first place. Mr. Pack, it is our belief that you will not be able to counter one word of this remarkable tribute to the God who planned this day from the very beginning. Those who have read it say that it represents the most compelling argument advanced for not dining out on the Sabbath.

The third page, Frequently Asked Questions, contains a collection of Emails we have received on this issue. For the most part the answers are very brief.

Once again, we are advising you of these additions out of respect for you and to enable you to prepare for any questions or comments you might receive.

Respectfully,

Blow the Trumpet
