A Lesson in Statesmanship

Week of July 3rd

The Restored Church of God announces that Mr. David C. Pack did not write its condemnation of A Sabbath Test. Additionally they claim that they received a “private” Email from the book’s authors admitting that they were aware of this fact but were going to claim he did anyway in an attempt to smear him. The RCG then declares that this is incontrovertible proof that Blow the Trumpet and the authors of A Sabbath Test can’t be trusted. This assertion appears in a lengthy disclaimer added to the bottom of their article. Noticeably absent is even a quote from this private Email.

Additionally, the RCG’s main article was substantially amended in an attempt to deflect Blow the Trumpet’s rebuttal. Some have suggested that Mr. Pack felt so embarrassed by certain points in the RCG’s original article that he ordered it be amended—and that he was to be protected from any ridicule that would emerge because of Blow the Trumpet’s response. In the actual amended article, the RCG intimates that the authors of A Sabbath Test were in danger of committing the unpardonable sin. To read the entire disclaimer click the link below.

The Disclaimer

Update

In a striking turn of events, Mr. Pack removes the disclaimer denying his authorship of the RCG article. He then places his name on it as its author. He gives no explanation for why he did this in light of the RCG's adamant assertion that he had nothing to with it other than modest edits.

July 6, 2005

The Restored Church of God announces that due to the overwhelming response, (“thousands have read it”) they have posted “a significantly expanded edition” of their article Dining Out on the Sabbath to their website. The greatest single edit offered in the “Expanded Edition” is a disclaimer denying that Mr. David C. Pack wrote the original article.

July 8, 2005

Blow the Trumpet publishes a crushing response to the new RCG disclaimer. In it they offer the RCG $10,000 if they can produce the Email they (the RCG) claim was a confession from the authors of A Sabbath Test and admitting that they knew Dave Pack did not write the RCG article. Blow the Trumpet then offers a challenge to Dave Pack to debate the issue publicly. To access this EMail click the link below.

The Ten Thousand Dollar Challenge

July 10, 2005

"The Three Arguments"

Blow the Trumpet publishes Thirty Deceptions by Dennis Fischer. A Sabbath Test Video CD

August 22, 2005

Blow the Trumpet posts an article entitled “Millennial Sacrifices” to its website. This article exposes a huge misrepresentation of an RCG essay condemning the book A Sabbath Test. Millennial Sacrifices

August 22, 2005

Blow the Trumpet advises the Restored Church of God that it has published three additions to its arguments in opposition to going to restaurants on the Sabbath. This was done in an on-going effort to provide full disclosure to the RCG of any information published by Blow the Trumpet that impacts this discussion. The new additions are as follows: 1) A powerful sermon entitled “A Slave in Egypt” by Dennis Fischer which presents the reason that ultimately persuaded him to cease going to restaurants on God’s Sabbath. 2) A digitally mastered Video CD/ROM that contains a wealth of information on this issue. This CD/ROM will be sent to the leaders of God’s Church this September. 3) An essay “Millennial Sacrifices” that explains why the Restored Church of God is in error when they contend that God’s people will offer sacrifices and be fed from them by the priests on the Sabbath in the millennium.
